What Pleasures Await During this Most Festive Gathering
An engaging 90-minute dance workshop dance with Jane Austen expert, Theresa Roche.
Theresa will provide you with an introduction to ballroom etiquette/introductions/rules/late suppers/dancing until dawn and examples of characters in Jane Austen’s novels breaching the etiquette to great social opprobrium. She will also share her insights into how a Regency Christmas differs from the celebration we know today and introduce you to that fascinating Regency method of communication and romance, the language of the fan.
Please bring a pair of flat soft shoes or trainers to dance in.
